Our Story
We have been friends for more than 10 years now, dating for almost 7 by the time of our wedding. Here are some snippets of our story so far!
How we met
We met back in 2016 at All Souls Church and in Overseas Christian Fellowship (OCF). Ben remembers Alyson always clearing up after events. Alyson thought that Ben was funny.
Dover
Alyson planned a trip to Dover for our OCF group, where Ben and Alyson got to know each other better. They continued to serve in All Souls Church, serving Milo and with OCF, preparing food for camps together. Through the many conversations, our feelings for each other grew, and we began to pray about pursuing a relationship.
The early days
We started dating in early 2020, just before the world went into lockdown. We started our long-distance relationship whilst being 10 minutes away from one another, bonding over Netflix Party, K-dramas, anime and long chats. Alyson then returned to KL for a year, Ben remained in London.
Adventures together
Alyson returned to London after another year apart. We enjoyed a wonderful 3 years of great trips with our favourite people, learning new things together, serving together in church and living life to the fullest!
The proposal
15.06.2025 - after much persuasion, Alyson agreed to go on a picnic for her birthday at the beautiful Kyoto Gardens in London. Alyson totally saw it coming, but said yes anyway :D
